Waste Disposal and Recycling
SODC provides a weekly kerbside waste collection service to all households in the district on Thursdays. In addition to the household refuse a recycling collection operates via the ‘Green Box system’ for paper, cardboard, tin and plastic items. Refuse needs to be put out for collection by 7.00am. In addition, clear plastic sacks can be used for recycling. These can be purchased at 25p each from SODC Offices in Crowmarsh. These will then be collected from the kerbside.
Please do not place your refuse out before 6.00 pm on the evening before collection. See Parish Notice Boards for variations during Bank Holidays. ‘Green’ garden waste is collected on alternate Thursdays from the kerbside for residents using pre-paid brown wheelie bins (available at a cost of £29 pa from www.southoxon.gov.uk or 01491 823416).

Oakley Wood Amenity Site
Located off the A4130 Henley to Wallingford road, approximately 2 miles from roundabout at Crowmarsh.
Opening times
8.00 am - 5.00 pm Every Day and Bank Holidays (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's day). From 1st April to 30th September on Thursdays site stays open until 8.00 pm.
Oakley Wood is a Reception Centre for garden waste, glass, cans, newspapers, magazines, oil, scrap metal, cfc's, fridges and freezers, building rubble.
No commercial waste is accepted at this site.
Commercial waste can be taken to the Waste Reception Centre, Redbridge, Oxford at the following times - 8.00 am - 5.00 pm every day.
Bulky waste: South Oxfordshire District Council offers a chargeable collection service of £7.75 per item for bulky waste of furniture, fridges and freezers.or any items which would not be considered as fixtures and fittings. To book a collection telephone 01491 823416 or book online at www.southoxon.gov.uk/bulkywaste. They do not take fixtures and fittings such as boilers and bathroom suites.

Unwanted Vehicles will be removed at a current charge of £64.00

Paper, cardboard, plastics and cans are now collected from your home weekly via Green Plastic Bins (available free from SODC Crowmarsh Offices).
