Neighbourhood Plans are an essential element of the Coalition Government's Localism Bill. They are designed to give communities a greater say in how their community develops and, for example, where housing should go and what type of housing should be built. Woodcote will have to take some new housing over the next decade so the Parish Council, in partnership with South Oxfordshire District Council, has applied for grant funding to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for Woodcote.
The Parish Council is now seeking volunteers for a steering group to manage the production of such a plan for our village. Interested? Please contact the Clerk to Woodcote Parish Council.
