Held every Monday at Langtree School from 12.30pm to 3.00pm term time. The Lunch Club provides a two course meal and companionship for those who have retired and would like to make new friends and acquaintances. The cost is £3.50. Numbers are limited. Supported by Oxfordshire County Council and Age Concern Oxon, Wallingford School, a sports specialist college, is hosting ‘Mind Health and Body’ sessions for the over 50s from 1.30 - 3.00pm on Fridays, starting on 6th June 2008. Activities could include computing, photography, art, exercise, dancing and table tennis. The students are very keen and open to suggestions. Four times a year, in March, June, September and December, we hold a Nearly New Sale of children's games, toys, nursery equipment, and children's clothes. Items are sold on the basis of 75% to the donor and 25% given to a different cause each time.
Please come along and join us at 2.30pm on the third Wednesday in every month in the Village Hall (except August). We are an extremely friendly WI of 40 members. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

The Woodcote Conservation Group is involved in maintaining and protecting the characteristic features of the village's environment, and in promoting awareness and appreciation of our local plants, creatures and habitats. We organise regular working-parties, help out with national and local surveys, and hold public talks on topics of local environmental interest. New members always welcome. On Saturday 20th September 2008 this is a grand event for the village, with loads of events and activities, including a horticultural display and competition.
